Frequently Asked Questions
Discovery & Shortlisting
What does Siminkey sell?
Siminkey is a precision die-cutting converter supplying industrial foam tapes, coated tissue tapes, IPX8 waterproof tapes, and conductive tapes. We convert raw materials into finished gaskets, pads, and custom die-cut parts for automotive, electronics, medical, and telecommunications customers, selling standard items through this online store and custom projects by quotation.
Do you sell to individual consumers or only to businesses?
Our products are sold primarily for business and industrial use, but individual buyers can order standard items directly from this store. Custom conversion projects are quoted for business customers. If you are a personal consumer, your statutory withdrawal rights, where applicable, are described in our Terms of Service.
How do I choose the right tape for my application?
Start from the product category pages, which group items by function: cushioning and bonding (Industrial Foam), thin bonding and masking (Coated Tissue), waterproof sealing (IPX8), and grounding or shielding (Conductive). Each product page lists specifications. If you are unsure, send your drawing or application details to [email protected] and we will recommend a material.
Where are you located, and where do orders ship from?
Simin New Material Application Technology Shenzhen Co., Ltd. operates from Dongguan / Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Orders ship from our converting facility by international carriers such as UPS or FedEx. Foam-material production is carried out by our long-term partner factory in Zhejiang Province; die-cutting, slitting, and quality inspection are performed in-house.
Capabilities & Processes
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a precision die-cutting converter, not a trading company. Conversion happens on our own floor: 3 rotary die-cutting lines, 7 flatbed presses, 2 rewinding machines, and 1 sheeting machine. Foam materials are produced by our Zhejiang partner factory, while converting, tolerance control, and inspection remain under our own management.
Can you die-cut custom shapes from my drawing?
Yes. Custom shapes are our core service: send a DXF, AI, or PDF drawing with dimensions and tolerances, and we will quote tooling and unit prices. Rotary die-cutting suits high-volume rolls and continuous patterns; flatbed pressing suits larger parts and thicker materials. First articles are confirmed with you before mass production.
What is your minimum order quantity for custom parts?
MOQ depends on material and tooling: parts cut on existing tooling can start from a few hundred pieces, while new custom tooling usually becomes economical from around one thousand pieces or one full material roll. Monthly capacity ranges from 20,000 to 5,000,000 units or square meters, so both prototypes and volume orders are welcome.
Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. For standard store items you can order small quantities directly as samples. For custom die-cut parts we provide first articles for your approval before mass production; sample and tooling costs are quoted case by case and may be credited against the bulk order. Request samples via [email protected].
Which industries and applications do you serve?
We serve automotive, electronics, medical, and telecommunications customers. Typical applications include anti-slip and cushioning pads, speaker and screen gaskets, thermal insulation layers, waterproof seals for enclosures, EMI grounding, and structural bonding. Tell us the substrate, working temperature, and environment, and we will match a suitable material construction.
Materials & Specifications
What materials do you work with?
Our core materials are closed-cell and open-cell industrial foams, coated tissue papers, waterproof sealing tapes rated to IPX8, and conductive tapes for grounding and EMI shielding, with 3M and equivalent Japanese and Chinese adhesive systems. We select adhesive, carrier, and liner combinations according to your bonding surfaces and working environment.
What thicknesses and tolerances can you hold?
Common converted thicknesses range from about 0.05 mm laminates to 10 mm foams. Standard die-cut tolerances are ±0.15 mm for rotary tooling and ±0.2 mm for flatbed tooling; tighter tolerances are quoted after engineering review. Final capability always depends on the base material, so share your drawing for a firm answer.
Can you control width, length, and rewind format?
Yes. Two rewinding machines and one sheeting machine let us deliver material in the format your process needs: master rolls, custom-width rolls, spooled die-cut parts on liner, or flat sheets. Roll length, core diameter, and packaging labels can follow your specifications — state them on the drawing or in your email.
Which liner and release options are available?
Depending on the adhesive system we convert with glassine, PE-coated, or PET film liners, in single or double-sided release configurations. Die-cut parts can be supplied kiss-cut on a continuous liner for automated assembly lines. If your process needs a specific liner thickness or color, note it in the drawing and we will confirm feasibility.
Do you provide technical data sheets for materials?
Yes. Every product page lists the key specifications, and full technical data sheets — thickness, peel strength, temperature resistance, and substrate suitability — are available on request. For customer projects we can also supply material compliance documents such as COA, RoHS, and REACH declarations; contact [email protected] with the product name.
Quality — Managed to International ISO Standards
How do you control quality during conversion?
Quality is controlled inside the converting process: incoming material checks, first-article inspection before each production run, in-process dimension sampling against the drawing, and final visual and dimensional inspection before packing. Batch numbers give traceability from finished part back to the material roll, and inspection records are kept for each order.
Do you have quality certifications?
Quality is managed to international ISO standards, but we do not claim to hold any management-system certification. Quality is demonstrated through verifiable records: first-article reports, dimensional inspection records, and batch traceability from finished part back to the material roll. For customer projects we can also provide COA, RoHS, and REACH documents — ask via [email protected].
Can you supply RoHS, REACH, or COA documents?
Yes. For customer projects we provide material compliance documents including COA (certificate of analysis), RoHS declarations, and REACH SVHC statements issued by the material producer, together with our own inspection records. State the required documents when requesting a quotation so they are prepared with your order documents.
What if the goods I receive have a quality problem?
If a delivered product has a confirmed quality defect, contact us within 14 days of receipt with photos or test evidence. Once the issue is confirmed as a quality problem, consumable items are replaced directly and the product does not need to be returned; for bulk or large-quantity orders, please email us to arrange the return. We handle the cost of confirmed quality issues.
How consistent is quality between production batches?
Batch consistency is maintained by locking three things: the base material roll lot, the tooling, and the process parameters recorded at first-article approval. Every later batch is sampled against the approved first article before shipping. If a parameter must change — for example a material substitution — we inform you and re-confirm a new first article.
Ordering & Terms
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through PayPal; place your order in this store and complete payment with your PayPal account or a card via PayPal checkout. Volume buyers and custom projects receive a formal quotation first — email [email protected] with your drawings and quantities, and we will set up the order with you.
Who pays import duties and taxes?
Orders ship DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): the recipient is responsible for import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees charged by the destination country. These charges are collected by the carrier or customs authority and are not included in the order price; duties and import taxes already paid are non-refundable.
How long does delivery take?
Standard dispatch is 7–14 days after payment, depending on the carrier service level you choose at checkout and customs processing in your country. Custom die-cut projects add first-article confirmation time, which we state in the quotation. Force majeure events such as extreme weather may extend delivery; we will notify you promptly.
Can I return a product?
Returns are accepted for quality problems: contact us within 14 days of receipt with photos or test evidence. Once the defect is confirmed as a quality issue we replace or refund the item and cover the return shipping. Returns are not accepted for used items, custom die-cut parts without quality defects, or requests beyond the 14-day window.
Can I cancel my order?
Our goods are sold for business and industrial use. If you are a personal consumer and your jurisdiction grants a statutory right of withdrawal, you may cancel the order for a full refund before it ships. Shipped orders are handled under our quality-problem return policy. To cancel, email [email protected] with your order number.
